Mike caught this beautiful White Seabass on a Dan Hernandez Charter at Santa Barbara Island!

Mike Ortiz started the fishing off. While everybody else slept he dropped in and caught this nice 15 pound White Seabass. Thanks for getting us going Mike! Mike also was fortunate because he won the ?other? jackpot!

Here is Angler Chris Settevendemie hooked into a White Seabass. Unfortunately this nice fish was eventually taken by a sea lion into the kelp.

We left the dock around 10:00 PM. The seas were calm. The ride to Catalina Island Island was comfortable. Our bait tanks were already loaded with nice sized LIVE SQUID.

We fished West Cove were the commercial squid fleet is operating. We started fishing around 2:00 AM. The first fish came over the rail at 2:15 AM. We proceeded to catch our limit by 3:30. It just so happened that we made our limits right before the bite turned off at 3:30 AM. Most people then returned to their bunks for a well deserved nap!
