We finished up the day eating some fresh sushi. Of course we had some White Seabass in addition we had some Albacore that Dennis Evans caught on the American Angler earlier in the week. Thanks Dennis!

We left Ventura Harbor around 3:30am with hopes of cashing in on the White Seabass bite that had been going on at Santa Cruz Island. We arrived in time to fish the gray light, and we got hooked up almost immediatley. Here is Randy Janush with his nice White Seabass.

We left the harbor at 10pm. The day before the Pacific Dawn and Mirage both got boat-limits of white seabass, so we had high hopes of getting lucky. We arrived at Santa Rosa Island well before sunrise, and attempted to snag some squid. We didn't have much luck, only 6 pieces. Thankfully Joe on the Mirage helped us out. THANKS Joe. It was slow-going in the morning; nobody in the fleet was catching. Here is a shot of some of the guys soaking squid with Santa Rosa in the background. Check out how green the island is.
