Later in the day we got a flurry of seabass. Chris was one of the lucky ones to hook up.

Addie is a FISH SLAYER! He was catching cuda ALL DAY! He also did very well on the seabass! Hey Addie, leave some fish for the rest of us to catch!

We had a great time fishing with Capt Joe and the crew of the Mirage! Thanks a lot guys for working hard for us!

For 23 anglers we caught: 2 Yellowtail, 49 White Seabass, 1 Halibut, 37 Barracuda

Adam Louchios of Laguna Niguel won the kid???s jackpot. Adam is nine, and used a sardine and a slip sinker to bait a 47-pound white seabass. He goes to Carden Academy

The best fish of the trip was a 60-pound white seabass caught by John Specht of La Crescenta; the biggest of its kind caught this year, on a sardine, a 5/0 Gorilla hook, 40-pound Izorline on an Avet 4/0 reel and a 6460 Calstar rod

John Specht won first place for a 60-pound white seabass. Howard Hirokane won second place for a 57-pound tuna, and Al Tokunaga won third place for a 52-pound yellowfin tuna.
