We left the dock around 10:00 PM. The seas were calm. The ride to Catalina Island Island was comfortable. Our bait tanks were already loaded with nice sized LIVE SQUID.

We fished West Cove were the commercial squid fleet is operating. We started fishing around 2:00 AM. The first fish came over the rail at 2:15 AM. We proceeded to catch our limit by 3:30. It just so happened that we made our limits right before the bite turned off at 3:30 AM. Most people then returned to their bunks for a well deserved nap!

Thanks Steve! We truly appreciate the support of Long Beach Sportfishing! We had an awesome time on the Eldorado! Everybody on the crew for the Eldorado did a commendable job! We are very pleased with the entire day. Thanks so much and keep up the good work. We hope to fish with you again in the near future! The boat is also very comfortable. Especially with our ultra limited load today!

I think Renee is our good luck charm. She is so kind and sweet! The real bonus seems to be that everytime she comes out on our trips we do very well. Thanks for coming Renee! I only wish Jim could have been here with us! I look forward to seeing you on the Sea Adventure on Friday!

We did it! We caught limits of Seabass for our group! Wow what an experience. We also caught and released a bunch of Calicos and Perch. A few guys caught some barracuda. We also had a couple Halibut during our Seabass bite. They were little guys! However, the White Seabass averaged about 20 pounds. The big fish was 25.5 pounds and was caught by Rich Elsea from Newbury Park, CA.
