I got lucky and got the biggest croaker.

Although the seabass bite slowed, we still had a great time fishing with Steve and John! Thanks guys for a fun time!

Capt John told us the fish were hanging just out of sight. He told us to drop our baits just deep enough to where we couldn't see them. I grabbed my dropper-loop setup and dropped down a 4/0 hook with 3 chovies pinned on. After a few minutes I got a seabass. I dropped back down, and 10 mins later I landed another seabass.

The yellow-bite slowed a little so Capt Brian decided to look around a bit. Before the crew put the fish in the hold I got some more pictures. I HAD to get another shot of Chris and his beast!

Capt Brian put us on a spot near the kelp. The bass were biting full speed on fresh-dead. Then Capt Brian hooks into a seabass! Then I hook into one and my line breaks! Doh! I retie, cast back out, and hook into another one! Sweet! Right into the weeds he goes. Doh doh! I try and try but he was not coming out. Then Warren hooks into a croaker, and the he gets kelped. However, Warren was able to get his croaker out of the salad and lands it! Way to go pops--you definitely worked for, and earned that fish!!!

Gordon's largest fish before today was a 5lb largemouth bass. I'd say this seabass is a little bigger than 5lbs! Way to go Gordon, and congrats on your first seabass!!!
